A few weeks ago I went to the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn to watch my friends Win & Woo play. Alongside the guys were N2N, Golden Pony, Eau Claire, and AKKI. I hadn’t heard of AKKI until that same night, but she completely blew me away. She opened up the night and her energy was so incredible on and off the stage. Needless to say, I went up to her afterwards and told her that she was super dope, and that we needed more badass women to feature on Neon Owl.
